Hiring a freelancer is like hiring a full time designer…except better!

I have all of the experience of a seasoned professional, with the added knowledge of all kinds of business-y systems and communications; if you use Monday, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Wrike, Asana, Google Drive, Outlook, Gmail, Float - and all the rest - then I can seamlessly fit into your business’ day-to-day.

HIRING A FREELANCER

When your in-house team are telling you, “there’s too much work and not enough time”, that’s when you need me! An extra pair of hands to pick up those projects that have been pushed aside, a speedy finish artist to ensure deadlines are met, and an ideas machine, bringing plenty of outside experience, fresh knowledge and ways of thinking that could be just what you need to make that campaign sing!

Working with a number of businesses within the food & service industry based in Brisbane, I’ve covered all areas of external advertising and in-house assets creation.

I’ve been able to assist these businesses (Tetto Rooftop Bar, Comuna Cantina, Mai Gai, Club Coops and Eva Air) in maintaining brand recognition across touch points through consistency, whilst adding a little bit of spice where needed.

Working across print and digital, I was able to create an evergreen pullup banner and presentation for International Women’s Day 2023.

The banner is able to be used for all future presentations, expos and events hosted by Elladex. The on-brand, timeless design, will allow the banner to be reused no matter the context and therefore holding benefits for both the business and our environment.

Each slide in the presentation has been built in close proximity to the brand’s style guide, in order to nail brand consistency, in a short turn around, and ensure that what I was designing as a first draft, would need minimal changes. With a few copy updates, the presentation was turned around in record time.

Twentieth Letter often reach out to me when they require finish art and adhoc in a hurry. I’ve had the pleasure of creating a number of assets for Cockle Bay Wharf, Centenial Park, Norwest Marketown and Darling Harbour.

The work has consisted of way finding signage, tenancy packages, large scale displays, stickers, hoardings, banners, counter cards, posters and so much more.

DV Building already had an established brand identity, so I was able to assist with rollout across touch points, to really bring the brand to life and aid in both marketing and consistency.

For Scarlet Underwear, I created a trade flyer to help sell their product to stockists such as Chemists. The flyer needed to be highly informative, engaging in comparison to the products competitors and well rounded in showcasing what the product is.

Budgy Smuggler is a notoriously Australian brand, known for their bright swimwear and Aussie humour, who over the past decade have captured the male market. In 2018 it was time to switch the focus and give the company a female edge and I was able to provide a solutions throughout my four years spent working in house. Through creation of new, more effeminate patterns, popular workout and leisure apparel, and a shift in tone of voice via media marketing we were able to grow the brand into a more diverse and sophisticated service catering to a much larger audience.

Custom-made swimwear is another service offered by the brand that saw exponential grow through the influence of a well organised system I was able to put in place. Through one-on-one conversations with customers, I was able to fulfil their bespoke requests with timely and accurate satisfaction. Within my first year, the company saw a 70% growth in conversion rates of custom apparel, which was directly attributed by open conversations with all areas of production, timely responses and action with custom orders and the implementation of improved management and systems.

The Studio team at Craveable Brands are like a family that welcome me back every few months to help around the house with any overflow of work. When assisting them I focus on a range of adhoc work across their three brands; Red Rooster, Oporto and Chicken Treat. I covered various static digi work such as image comping, web banners, social posts, eDM creation, icons and much more. In regards print projects, I work on large scale fence hoardings, various shaped banners, menu boards, packaging, 3D store installations, flyers, bag stuffers, bus backs and various other marketing material.

I am able to contribute consistent, high quality and quick turn arounds on all projects from the outset, proving to be a great asset to any team with my ability to quickly adapt to new systems and ways of working.

Testimonial:

Molly has been such a pleasure to work with. She was part of the team for just over three months and her eagerness and ability to take direction has really shown her dedicated work ethic. Molly was thrown into a very busy work schedule, but she hit the road running and was quickly able to learn the brands she had to work with, always delivering to a high standard. Her excellent communication skills, attention to detail and positive attitude have seen her own the role she was appointed to – I could rely on Molly to get the work done without much supervision. A wonderful team player she’s always was quick to help others and was always able to get on with the job she was assigned to without fuss or pushback. I have high praise for Molly and would not hesitate to have her in my team, again! A wonderful design career awaits her, and there is no doubt she will keep rising the top. Well done Molly, you’ve been amazing!

Destination Partners were after a report that showcased all of the great assets the city of Bundaberg has to offer and why its a great place for both investors and tourists to look into. My work here consisted of building the template for the report, sourcing additional imagery and creating simple text-based infographics.

Winki Suits create ‘ethically made swimsuits for women who love the sea’. I’ve assisted them throughout the production of their suits, but transforming their artworks, colour palettes and vision into repeat patterns that can easily be printed via Sublimation, onto their fabric. This process involved knowledge about the geometry of shapes and how they fit together to create seamless patterns, as well as in-depth communication with the printers and client Winki Suits.

Gali Swimwear fuses Australia’s First Nations culture  and art with sustainable mens swimwear made in Sydney. They collaborate with artists and communities to create premium swimwear that is designed to be celebrated around the world.

My role has been to both mentor David, owner of Gali Swimwear, through the onshore production process as well as help turn the artist’s works into wearable pieces. This means making colour adjustments to suit the absorbency of the fabric, to ensure we’re doing the original artwork justice, setting up print files for placement printing via sublimation, translating traditional sewing patterns into digital placement templates and so much more.
